sdWebdesign is committed to making its website accessible. Implementation is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA.

This website is largely accessible and meets the requirements of WCAG 2.1 at levels A and AA.

Accessibility was evaluated based on technical code analysis and manual testing.

Perceivable

• Alternative text for non-text content (WCAG 1.1.1)
• Semantic HTML structure (<nav>, <main>, <header>, <footer>, <section>)
• Correct assignment of information and relationships
• Sufficient color contrasts according to WCAG 2.1 AA

Operable

• Full keyboard operability without keyboard traps, modals with escape close function
• Skip link to bypass recurring content
• Logical focus and tab order
• Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements

Understandable

• Correct language identification of the page and individual language versions
• No unexpected context changes on focus
• Accessible form labels and error messages
• Screen reader support through ARIA attributes

Robust

• Valid HTML5
• ARIA roles, states, and properties for dynamic content
• Compatibility with common screen readers and assistive technologies

The website can be fully operated with a keyboard:

• Tab / Shift + Tab: Navigate between elements
• Arrow keys: Navigate menus and accordions
• Enter / Space: Activate buttons
• Escape: Close menus and dialogs
• Home / End: First or last element in lists

Additionally, we provide:

• Skip link to main content
• Screen reader-only text for required fields and icons
• ARIA descriptions for navigation, modals, forms, and progress indicators
• Internationalized accessibility labels (German / English)

Despite extensive measures, the following limitations currently exist:

• Reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion): Scroll animations do not fully respect this system setting yet.
• Dark Mode: Technical foundations are in place, but a toggle is not currently implemented.

These points will be addressed in future developments.
